Ofsted report on the Reception curriculum
Ofsted yesterday published their report Bold Beginnings- The Reception curriculum in a sample of good and outstanding primary schools. The report which looks at the curriculum, practice and provision in the reception year was commissioned by Her Majesty's Chief Inspector as part of a wider review of the curriulum in England.
The methodology states that findings of this survey will be used to:
- Inform inspection policy
- advise policy makers
- influence wider national thinking on the role and importance of the curriculum
As part of the thematic study HMI visited a range of schools throughout England. One of which was St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School in Southwark.
