Online Learning Offer
In order to support you to continue to improve the quality of your existing online learning curriculum and ensure you have a strong contingency plan in place for remote online education provision across your school we are excited to share with you our fully funded online provision offer, along with information and resources to help along the way.
This fully funded online provision offer has two distinct strands; IT Infrastructure and CPD, Training and Development
IT Infrastructure- an online learning platform where every pupil across the school has an account
Firstly you must have the IT infrastructure for online learning set up systematically across your school. To help you meet the Department for Education’s expectations, you can apply for DfE-funded support to get set up on one of two free-to-use platforms: G Suite for Education and Office 365 Education.
To find out if you are eligible you will need to complete the short survey below:
The good news is that the system uses Wonde (you may remember this from the meal vouchers ) as a sync tool to create pupil accounts and put them in the right classes. Dany Thomas worked with Wonde on the vouchers and as a result 86% of our schools in Southwark have Wonde accounts and have installed it as an application. This means that this will accelerate the process of deployment and the set up of the online learning.
Soft Egg, the company we are working with have confirmed that they are able now, to set up a school within 5 working days of application – if eligible- at no cost to your school. Paul from Soft Egg, who spoke at the most recent Headteacher’s Breakfast Briefing will be able to support you to develop a secure infrastructure to future proof your online learning offer.
