Aims
This 1 day, face-to-face training aims to enable participants to articulate, develop and evaluate their practice using the PARS model.
The training will consider:
- where playwork originated from
- what PARS playwork practice is
- types of play
- key terms to help explain playwork
- it will look at reflective and reflexive practice
- a risk benefit analysis
Summary
Children should have space and time to play without adult direction, which at times, can seem disorganised and unproductive to onlookers. This course is an introduction to PARS playwork practice and aims to enable practitioners to articulate what they are doing and why. Consequently, this will support settings in their Ofsted inspections as well as in talking to parents, owners and other professionals such as head teachers.
