Access to training courses during lockdown
As you are probably aware, training courses are normally provided from a central venue in Tooley Street offices. However, due to ongoing pandemic, all training and development events planned for the spring term 2021 will be held virtually via Zoom. We have researched a range of sharing platforms so that all users can be assured that sessions will be offered in a secure, reliable and easily accessible format. You can access Zoom on a range of devices. Full joining instructions will be forwarded to governors prior to each training event.
School-based bespoke training
Within your annual subscription to the Governor Development (Training) service, your governing body is entitled to one bespoke whole governing body session on a topic of your choice, usually held in your school. This term any bespoke training will be provided online, unless the circumstances change and restrictions are lifted. Governing bodies who have already requested and booked their bespoke training will receive further information in due course. Others will still have until the end of March 2021 to request their whole governing body training.
Training can be accessed either via an annual subscription (SLA) or on a pay-as-you-go basis. We believe that the cost of subscription provides excellent value for money as it gives your governing body unlimited access to all centrally run courses plus one bespoke session for your whole governing body.
Course bookings, queries and advice:
The quickest and easiest way to book a place on a course is directly on Governor Hub. Those governors who don't have access to Governor Hub can book their places by email. You can either use a booking form (docx, 52kb)or simply state which courses you wish to attend in your email. Once you have requested a course, an acknowledgement will be sent out. Should you not hear from us after booking a course, please get in touch to confirm your place prior to attending.
