The aim of our leaders briefings are to disseminate key local and national developments in early years to leaders whilst helping them to reflect on and implement best practice in leadership management. Our aim is to provide the necessary expertise and experience to help leaders maintain the high quality provision and improving outcomes for early years across the borough.

The summer term briefing is of particular signifiance as we continue to prepare for the implementation of the reforms to the EYFS, as well as plan to address the challenges created by COVID and make the most of the opportunities for creating an exicting and meaningful early years experience.

This briefing will provide;

  • An update on national and local news, proposed changes, issues, initiatives and opportunities impacting early years. There will be a particular focus on implementation of the new reforms,

  • Advice and guidance for leaders on assessment and tracking and the sharing of good practice in relation to the reforms,

  • Opportunity to meet with the Early Years Consultants, Early Years Adviser and Senior Adviser for Assessment,
