Aims

The aims of the session are to

  • discuss evidence to support judgements 
  • externally moderate judgements for key areas
  • extend knowledge about key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage

In this session teachers and leaders will have the opportunity to moderate assessment judgements for children on entry into nursery, alongside colleagues from other schools, to ensure accuracy and to inform provision. 

There will also be the opportunity to discuss and use the Southwark Early Years moderation support materials to aid the moderation process. 

We ask you to come prepared to talk about at least two children to support the moderation process as well as any other questions you may have about children's assessment. 

We have taken the decision to offer this as an online meeting for ease of access and to help you manage your time as effectively as possible.
