The aims of the session are to
- discuss evidence to support judgements
- externally moderate assessment judgements for key areas
- extend knowledge about key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage
The session will provide the opportunity for teachers and leaders to moderate assessment judgements for children on entry into reception, alongside colleagues from other schools to ensure accuracy and to inform provision.
As part of the session there will also be the opportunity to use the Southwark Moderation support materials to aid the moderation process.
Teachers and leaders are asked to be prepared to talk about two children as part of the moderation process. These children should be a higher and a middle achiever.
